Beau Jennings & The Tigers

About

After spending several years in Brooklyn fronting the americana rock band Cheyenne, singer and songwriter Beau Jennings struck off on his own to release his debut solo album Holy Tulsa Thunder, which featured members of Sufjan Stevens' Illinoisemakers and Starlight Mints. Several years later Jennings was in search of a new backing band upon a return to his home in Oklahoma. Enter The Tigers: based out of Blackwatch Studios in Norman, and a wrecking crew of some of the best musicians in the state. Already known for their studio work on countless records, The Tigers provide a powerful and dynamic live sound to flesh out Jennings’ sprawling songs on stage. At times channeling the energy of early Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, other times the more modern Wilco, Beau Jennings & The Tigers have begun work on their debut recording, the Sweet Action EP, to be available late 2012.
