Faithland is the result of the power of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of three men along with a small Church in Monroe, Connecticut who together love Jesus Christ with all their heart’s. Their music is about their Lord and Savior, their faith in Him, and how He has changed their lives. And their desire is to see the lives of many more be transformed through Christ’s Gospel Message. They are Christians who exist to live and spread the Good News of Christ, and as a band their mission is to glorify God through their music and the way they live. To tell a little bit about how Faithland began, they started as two guitarists playing and singing music for the glory of God. As the result of prayer, the Lord called forth a bassist who truly loves Him. God created a musical bond among them and has not only formed but has held together by the unity created by the Holy Spirit. The idea for the band name Faithland is based on the ongoing work of Jesus Christ in one’s life after a person has placed their complete trust in the message of the cross for redemption. Faithland through their music and the words of their Lord and Savior to “repent and believe” (Mark 1:15) reflect the message of Christ as, “Go on believing and don’t stop for anything!” When a person not only initially, but also subsequently keeps trusting in Christ’s blood and in His death on the cross and glorious resurrection from the dead, that person has not only begun to live in Faithland, but their faith goes on into all eternity. As Christians continue to walk through life by faith, their life becomes Faithland: a type of “Bethel” meaning “House of God”(Genesis 28:19). Christians have the promise of The Lord, walking each day in Faithland just like Abraham did. As the Apostle Paul is inspired to write in Galatians 3:7 and 14, “ That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham”. Abraham and all those desiring a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ can live in Faithland. The land or place of faith where God brings that person into “the great promise of God” where nothing can stop His work in that believers heart and where no temptation is greater than that person’s love for God. It is the Band Faithland’s desire to see that very faith formulated in the lives of other people. Faithland, by God’s grace and through their music and testimony, desires to do just that. To encourage people to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and that by faith He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). It is in this place where God can speak and His people will hear, where God can touch, and where God can heal. It is where every need can be met because it is where God can move through the faith of the people. It is where the desire to receive the Promise of God may be attained. It is where the River of God flows deep and wide, and the temple of the Lord is filled with His presence unhindered by anything that may offend Him. A place in one’s heart where there is nothing but a pure love for God and where no plot is owned by sin. It is where the Lord dwells with His people and there are no hindrances between them and Him. It is a place where childlike faith overrides human wisdom, and where those who are desperately needful receive satisfaction for the deepest longing of their souls. In a way it is a spiritual place, yet for all those who desire to be there it is truly a physical place. It is invisible to the eye of doubt, yet for those with eyes of faith it may be seen through hope. It’s the kingdom of God, Eden, where God placed mankind originally before sin entered the world. This is Faithland’s desire to turn the hearts of the people back to God and away from self-focus. To guide as many as would receive God’s Son, and begin the journey to Faithland onto the Way that leads to life, which begins with faith in Jesus Christ. “Take me to the place where the blinded eye can see, Whatever it takes, where the broken heart is healed.” -Faithland
