Derek Webb started his music career over 20 years ago as a founding member of the Texas-based folk/rock band Caedmon's Call. After 10 years, Derek left to pursue a solo career that quickly garnered him a reputation for being a provocative singer/songwriter, challenging the political and spiritual status quo. Webb's innovative ways have received coverage everywhere from Paste Magazine to USA Today and the LA Times. His record, 'The Ringing Bell' was #27 on Paste Magazine's Top 100 albums of 2007, having received a coveted 5-star review, and Derek was recently named one of Performing Songwriter magazine's 100 most influential independent artists of the past 15 years.
Mark Nicholas is a Nashville music industry veteran of 18 years. He has worked in music publishing, artist management and A&R capacities for StarSong Records, True Artist Management, and Forefront Records. He served as executive producer for two Grammy award-winning albums and numerous Gospel Music award winners. Currently, Mark serves as general manager of Simpleville Music, whose songwriters include members of MercyMe, The Afters, Sam Mizell, Phil Wickham, Tyler Burkum and others. In his spare time, Mark is also an author, photographer, and metal smith.
David McCollum an artist manager, has been in the entertainment business for over 10 years. His experience includes tour management for a top 10 Pollstar tour, serving on the board of directors for a merchandise development company, and responsible agent for a multiple Grammy award-winning artist. Currently, he serves as the president and owner of Dryve Artist Management, LLC, managing a wide array of touring artists, producers and authors, and creative stylists.
Brannon McAllister co-founded an illustration and animation studio in 2003 and worked in publishing and design for several years before turning his attention to digital music in 2007. Brannon has experience in branding and packaging design for various musicians and now lives and works in New York City with his wife, Melissa.
Joe Kirk had a successful career in telecommunications and information technology doing product development, business development and marketing for several technology startups and for companies like BellSouth, AT&T, Media One, Westinghouse and Comcast. A lifelong fan of music and the music business, he left his suit and tie behind in 2003 and joined Paste Media Group, best known for Paste Magazine. As the VP of Business Development, he drove Paste's business strategy, raising the funding to significantly grow the distribution of the magazine and extend the Paste brand. As Associate Publisher, he was responsible for magazine production and distribution. He launched and managed an independent label, Paste Records and a retail listening station program, Paste Recommends and also launched and produced the successful weekly Paste Culture Club podcast. He served as executive producer, producer or mastering engineer for Manchester Orchestra, Bill Mallonee, Mark Heard, Brindley Brothers, F/Stop and 21 Paste magazine samplers. After a brief stint at the music download card startup, DiscRevolt, he left Atlanta and moved to Nashville in 2007. Joe and his wife Betsy are passionate about adoption and have raised eight daughters.
