The Murder of Crows is an atmospheric alternative duo featuring guitarist /vocalist Alan Sparhawk (Low) and violinist/vocalist Gaelynn Lea (Snöbarn). Formed when they did a live soundtrack to a Lon Chaney film screening in Duluth, MN in October 2011, the violin / guitar duo plays long, winding, hypnotic instrumentals that hopefully create a kind of mental journey. A few vocal songs are thrown in for good measure including “Let It Go” featuring guest vocals from Low’s Mimi Parker. The band consider it all ideal bird-watching music.
