I've always said songwriting is a secondary thing for me. What comes first is people- their joy and fulfillment. It just so happens that over the past five or six years, the songs I write and sing have helped to bring joy and fulfillment to the people around me. And I'm humbled that these little things I create have had such a meaningful presence in the world.

I'm not one of those people who can play every instrument she picks up, but I know some of them. I'm not one of those people who is super hot and lifts or does sprints every day, but one of my sisters is though. I wasn't one of those kids who learned three languages or made an astonishingly high score on the ACT, but I pay my bills each month.

I write songs, I sing them, and I play them. I don't know if I will forever, but I do for now. I hope they inspire you to be who you are and to do what is good.
