Socorra is a folk/rock singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is heavily influenced by Elvis Presley, Motown, Classic Rock and the folk scene of 1960's Greenwich Village. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Morocco who used music as a way of connecting with her community. In November 2015 she was invited back to Morocco to do a two week tour consisting of 8 shows all around the country.
Socorra is a rhythmic guitar player who focuses on the drums in all of her songs.She hopes that listeners can find the beat and feel like they can be a part of the song as well. She wants to inspire young girls to pick up an instrument and make some noise! She is currently working on an EP in San Francisco, expected to be out in 2017.
