From The Swear
“THE SWEAR BRING TO MIND THE GLAM-SLAM BRILLIANCE OF THE NEW YORK DOLLS.” - Lesley Daunt, Performer Magazine
The Swear is led by award-winning songwriter Elizabeth Elkins and driven by the punk-rock power of guitarist Cooper Carter, bass player Kevin Williams and drummer Matt Fenech. The band has played hundreds of shows across the United States in support of their EP Every Trick's A Good One, LP Hotel Rooms and Heart Attacks, and the Gold and Hymns and Hell maxi-singles.
2016 showcases the finale of the band's "Light the Way to Fall" singles project with the release of dark and dynamic, "Daylight".
The sonic onslaught project began in 2014 with the infectious "Living With Warhol", the enigmatic "Latin For Suicide", and the hauntingly gothic "Love Moves On". The next year (2015) saw further development of the band's sound with a song that was resurrected from the band's past; the punk rock anthem: "Kissing Boys". The band also added the power of drummer, Matt Fenech.
