From MD the XGhost
MD is the artist formally known as Fantazma. Playing music since the age of 4, MD (Melvin David) grew up in church and learned from an early age that music was his calling. He would accompany his mother and father on trips to different churches to minister and promote his mother's music.
In his teen years he left church and began performing in the secular world. From freestyling in the street to hosting mixtapes and internet radio shows, his name grew locally and it wasn't until his long time friend Dj Speedy Jr, would push him to leave the local scene and start traveling abroad.
MD (Fantazma) did not believe he would be signed based on his talent alone and did not want to leave his career up to luck so he packed up his backpack with his cds and hit the street to begin to sell them in public places.
It was then that he decided to open his first mixtape stores in one of the most popular flea markets in town and began to promote his music heavily.
MD would close his stores after a few years because of the decline of cd sales and would focus on traveling and recording. In 2006 he recorded and released Fantazma "Los Romanticos del Reggaeton" which is still available on Itunes and other music stores.
After opening for artist such as Don Omar, Eddie Santiago, Wisin y Yandel, Brenda K star, DLG, and recording songs with Bimbo, Don Chezina and Guelo Star, he met an asian artist by the name of Alex Sandinero. He would begin traveling with Alex and created the first ever asian/latino fusion and Laoggaeton.
Traveling through much of the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico he was at the top of his career, having his name known internationally, and then the unthinkable happened.
In 2009 Fantazma's (MD) father passed away and he decided to leave music for a few years and focus on discovering his true purpose.
For many years God had been calling MD, yet MD did not listen and now it seemed that MD needed God more than ever, and decided to return as the prodigal son to his heavenly father's arms to discover his true purpose.
MD is working on his new album "El Processo" and wants to bring the very best of his talent inspired by God to reach those in need of hope.
He changed his name from Fantazma to MD because he is no longer a ghost, as thru Jesus he now has life and plans on bringing God's word to as many people as possible in the years to come!
