Born in Tulsa and raised in New Orleans, AM finds inspiration for writing songs on his vinyl hunts for rare library OST's, obscure Brazilian music and Italian soundtracks. Fusing simple, intelligent lyrics, undeniable pop sensibilities and sparse, psychedelic groove, AM strikes a balance between the classic and the modern. "Future Sons & Daughters" was produced by Charles Newman (whose lengthy relationship with The Magnetic Fields has spawned ingenious products like 69 Love Songs). He recorded the album in Elliott Smith’s old cottage in Silverlake. "Future Sons & Daughters" brings California-dream-pop together with a heady brew of twinkling Anglified folk-rock-pop, caressing Philly soul and funky R&B whatchacallit.
