About

"... master interpreter and emotive originator." - CCM Magazine

"... a rare breed of artist who has the ability to oscillate between genres effortlessly - contemporary, bluegrass, Americana, inspiration, worship - affording him creativity most artists wish they could pull off." - Crosswalk

Andrew is a Dove-nominated singer/songwriter, respected writer and co-creator of the innovating Hymns for Hunger Tour, along with Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Cindy Morgan.

His sophomore recording, 2012's Angel Band: The Hymn Sessions, reached #2 on Amazon's Contemporary Folk chart, showcasing collaborations with some of the top names in bluegrass and gospel music - including Sonya Isaacs, Ginny Owens, The McCrary Sisters, Marc Scibilia and Ron Block of Alison Krauss & Union Station.

"I grew up in church," Greer shares. "I can't recall many of the sermons my pastor preached, or the lessons my Sunday School teachers taught, but I do remember hymns. In fact, if it hadn't been for the impact of those indelible tunes, I may never have fallen in love with music, or been introduced to God."

In 2013, Angel Band: The Christmas Sessions reached the Top 10 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter chart and features collaborations with Nashville music legends Phil Madeira, The McCrary Sisters, Cindy Morgan and iconic Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Sandi Patty. Also in 2013, Greer's All Things Bright & Beautiful: Hymns for the Seasons held the #1 spot on Nielsen Christian SoundScan's Instrumental chart for 25 weeks.

"All I know is the same Spirit that evoked those hymns and first moved me as a child, still inspires, convinces and formulates my life 20 years later. Hymns are as true to my human experience as my own catalog of songs."

As a writer, Andrew's stories have appeared in Christianity Today, In Touch and Parenting Teens, among other notable publications. When not on the road, Andrew enjoys his home in Franklin, TN.
