"I make music that I needed to hear when I was 17."
Hip Hop recording artist.
Mark Twain once said; “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.” I started writing poetry in high school in 2001 to impress my high school crush. That soon gave way to writing hip hop songs leaning heavily on my Staten Island roots. I was enamored with the way in which you can deliver a poignant message and I felt I had something to say. So it was because of love I started to write songs.
Fast forward ten years, there I was proposing to my future wife when she challenged me to be a Godly husband. So it was because I was chasing after love I gave my life to the one who first loved me enough to lay His life down for me. In the day I gave my life to Jesus I was in the process of writing my second studio album. My foundations were shaken to the core and I learned that I had built my house, my world of understanding and systems of belief on sand; sinking sand. I decided that I wanted to build my home on the Rock of Salvation. From that realization I decided to halt progress on my music altogether until I learned more about Jesus and was certain of what direction to take.
Jesus, in the book of John 21:17 said to Peter the third time, “ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “ Feed My sheep.” It is at this command I now stand ready to feed the sheep Jesus entrusted to my care. I want to make music that will encourage people to dream, make healthy decisions, challenge the status quo, and teach people about the man Jesus Christ.
