McAllister is a rock/pop Dallas-based band, started and led by Ty McAllister in the Fall of 2014. After meeting one another in college, the four friends, united by a common passion, started to make a name for themselves . The band consisted of Ty McAllister - lead singer and guitarist, Kelsey Barker - background vocals and keys, Seth McClure- lead guitarist, and Steven Baker-drums. Soon after the groundwork had been laid and they had a few shows under their belt, they added bass guitarist, Jordan Green, who is not only known for his bass skills, but also for having the prettiest hair in the group. McAllister has had the privilege of traveling and sharing the stage with some very talented artists, such as Penny & Sparrow, David Cook, Brother Moses, Cameron Matthew Ray, Honest Men, Brothers & Company, Sioux & Fox, and Northern National among many others. Besides playing shows and getting to know local artists and music lovers, McAllister can be found collaboratively writing their own music. You can ask anyone who is familiar with the band, and they will say that songwriting is one of the band’s greatest attributes. With lyrics written from the real life experiences of Ty McAllister, every listener is sure to hear something they can relate to. They recently released their first full length album, entitled “Oxygen”, in March of 2016, and they are already tirelessly at work on their next project. They are not just a group of five talented musicians, but rather they are friends doing what they love together. Upon completing a show you will see these bandmates greeting old friends and meeting new ones. McAllister’s music is written with the intent of bringing people together. People who have experienced heartbreak, joys, and triumphs. People who know what it’s like to have direction and sometimes not have any at all. It is music written just as much individually as it is together. You can see a piece of every member’s story, personality and experiences in every line they sing. McAllister is five men with a common goal of sharing their lives through music to get to know people, and as a result, impact those who hear their music.
