Some have criticized Rob for beat-biting and using other people's instrumentals. Leasing instrumentals is a thing, though, for those who want to hear what HE made, this album is one that is self-produced. There is a variety of sounds and styles on the album and hold together a fragmented work that is well stitched together. Released in 2009, Digital Slipstate does carry some recordings that go back to 2003 before Rob started using other people's instrumentals for his albums. A primary recording that should be heard is 'To One's Self' which is a message to his own self to instill hope back in 2003-2004.
