From Morgan MacDonald
Morgan MacDonald is a songwriter from Canada's east coast. He uses the storytelling traditions of folk, roots rock, and country music with arrangements and melodies from diverse influences to create music that is truly his own.
In the spring of 2012 Morgan released Back to the Wilderness, an EP produced by Paul Aucoin (past production includes: John K Samson, Hayden, The Sadies). Back to the Wilderness was well received by audiences and music critics across Canada and was nominated for Folk Recording of the Year by Music Nova Scotia.
Collaborations with Jason Collett of Broken Social Scene have resulted in a number of songs that will be included in Morgan's debut album set to be released in the fall of 2014. Morgan is working with producers Don Kerr (Ron Sexsmith, The Rheostatics) and Paul Aucoin for the upcoming recording.
