People can’t say it or spell it. Though it sounds Irish, there isn’t an Irish bone in her family. The name Shealeigh, phonetically pronounced Shay-lee, came from a baby book entry “Shea” meaning “the gift”. Her American Mom deemed it perfect. Her Aussie Dad preferred Kylie and the compromise was Shealeigh.

Shealeigh’s musical introduction began with an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age 12, after one of her videos was found on YouTube. A year later, she competed and won the title of Radio Disney’s ‘Next Big Thing’, which featured "What Can I Say", her first effort as a singer/songwriter. It spent 5 weeks at number 2 on The Billboard kids chart and was featured in The Disney Channel original movie “Radio Rebel.” Shealeigh spent the next few years touring extensively with Radio Disney. Although Shealeigh’s name could never be randomly found on airport souvenirs, it can now be found on the cover of her debut EP. At only 18 years old, this Chicago-ish singer/songwriter has you listening carefully to the intricacies of her acoustic pop ballads. “We All Need To Go Places”, the title of Shealeigh’s debut EP, was born out of the desire to move forward no matter how small the steps. In the final days of high school, with a goal in mind; Shealeigh prioritized her list to accomplish her mission. She began taking piano lessons, immersed herself in learning about production pulled out her journal of lyrics; and a mere 7 months later, she accomplished a simple recording in her living room. "Amazing voice; really incredible! -Ellen DeGeneres The Ellen DeGeneres Show "Shealeigh truly is the whole package. Her strength as a songwriter is matched with her power as a vocalist, and when she performs she creates as strong a connection to the audience as we’ve seen from some of Radio Disney's most popular artists." Kelly Edwards, former exec. director Music & Programming, Radio Disney "The teen pop sensation is on her way to big things – we can't wait to see what else she has in store for the future!" Celebuzz "Take note HollywoodLifers, there is a real great chance we will all be remembering and singing the songs of Shealeigh!" Russ Weakland - Hollywood Life
