Shy Amos, also known as ShySpeaks, is an American hip hop and spoken word artist, singer, speaker, songwriter and budding actress. With her soulful voice, thoughtful lyrics and irrepressible confidence Shy is winning fans from San Francisco to the UK and nations in between. It was there that she found her VOICE through oratorical contest, among her musically-inclined family, and like so many musical icons before her, in the church she grew up in. During her teen years in Arlington, TX her leadership skill, outstanding vocals and acting abilities led to several professional roles in main-stage musical theater productions. Around the same time, she discovered a gift for songwriting where she found creative freedom by adding melody to heartfelt poems. In the fall of 2011, while simultaneously matriculating a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Shy shook up the Hip-Hop & Poetry world as she told fans that codependency isn't so bad after all with the release of her independent debut EP "Addicted".The resulting songs were lyrically provocative and emotionally moving, catching the ear of local music producers and artist who tapped her to pen lyrics for Reach Records affiliate J.Paul. From there Shy's passionate vocal delivery and messages of hope embedded within each body of work began to set her ahead of the pack.
